A Living Sacrifice

Romans 12:1–2

When we surrender everything to Him, He can use it for His glory.

The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to live the committed life we cannot live on our own.

We cannot walk this walk without the Holy Spirit leading and guiding us.

To do this, we must be willing to give ourselves away—our hopes, dreams, goals—everything.

1. A Call to Total Surrender

We don’t mind surrendering ourselves to Him for salvation, but we struggle to surrender to Him as Lord.

It’s a living sacrifice—daily, moment by moment.

God’s way, His will, His purpose is greater than our own.

  • Old Testament → Dead sacrifice

  • New Testament → Living. Jesus already defeated death.

When we surrender, God takes our brokenness and makes us whole.

The world around us can see God in us even when we don’t always get it right.

In our failure, God’s grace is shown.

2. A Call to Transformation

Metamorphosis → Change

Transformation is a work of God’s grace. It’s not just outward—it’s a transformation that takes place from the inside out.

Don’t judge based on outward appearance.

A changed life is more than being changed so that we can be seen.

3. A Call to Discernment

God’s will for our lives is not far off somewhere—it’s found in our day-to-day lives and in what we do each day.

We measure everything against God’s Word.

God’s will is more than an obligation—it’s a blessing to walk in.

Discerning God’s will keeps us sensitive to His divine appointments.
