Defeating Your Giants
1 Samuel 17:41–47

David didn’t just defeat Goliath when the stone struck his forehead—he defeated the giant long before that moment. His victory was secured in the fields as a shepherd boy, through discipline, faithfulness, and a heart of worship.
To defeat the giants in your life, you must walk the same path:

See Yourself as God Sees You – David wasn’t defined by Saul’s armor or Goliath’s insults. He knew he was chosen and empowered by God. When you see yourself the way God sees you, giants lose their power.

Remember Your Past Victories – David recalled the lion and the bear that God had already delivered into his hands. Your testimony of God’s past faithfulness is fuel for today’s battles.

Use What You Have – David didn’t need Saul’s sword. He used the sling and stones he already carried. Don’t wait for something you don’t have—God has already placed in your hands what He intends to use.

Surrender the Battle to the Lord – David declared, “The battle is the Lord’s.” Victory comes when we recognize it’s not by might or by power, but by His Spirit.
When you stand in God’s strength, your giant is already defeated—before the stone ever leaves your sling.
