Message Title: Don’t Miss Your Moment
Scripture: Luke 19:41–44
Today is the only today I’ll ever have. What I do with it matters.
“I wish I could relive that moment.”
In the middle of all the excitement, Jesus begins to weep. While the crowd was caught up in a great moment, they didn’t recognize what it truly was. They saw a parade. He saw rejection.
God gives us moments — and it’s possible to miss them.
1. God Visits People with Moments of Divine Opportunity
- There are seasons and times appointed for us — we can’t get ahead of God or do it for Him.
- God has ordained you to be here today.
2. Religion Can Celebrate Jesus Without Surrendering to Him
- Palm Sunday — the same ones who praised Him would eventually reject and crucify Him.
- “Why do you call me Lord and not do what I say?”
- Emotion is not surrender.
- The real question is: Do I follow Jesus in obedience?
- God would rather have your heart than your song.
3. When You Respond to Jesus, You Experience True Peace
- Peace doesn’t come through money or influence — only through Jesus.
- “My peace I give to you.”
Bottom line: The moment in front of you is the only one you have. Don’t let religion replace surrender. Don’t let emotion replace obedience. And don’t let the parade distract you from the invitation. Respond to Jesus — and find the peace only He can give.
