Living Grateful Each Day God Gives Us
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

As Spirit-filled followers of Jesus, we have a reason to praise before the blessing comes.

Even in the midst of the storm, we are called to give God praise.

What Satan means to be our prison or place of suffering, God can turn into a place of thanksgiving.

We can walk in victory and gratitude no matter the circumstances.

Gratitude is not a reaction to what’s happening around us—it’s a revelation of who God is, no matter what we’re facing.

God is more than enough.

1. Living Thankful Is God’s Will

When we stop giving thanks, we start drifting into complaint.

Complaint brings bondage.
Giving thanks brings blessing.

Your gratitude determines your direction—the more thankful you are, the more you experience the presence of God in all things.

Complaining builds walls.
Being thankful opens doors.

2. Rejoice Always: The Call to Uncommon Joy

“Rejoice always.”

Joy isn’t the same as happiness—happiness depends on circumstances, but joy flows from relationship with Jesus.

Don’t let past pain cause you to miss out on present joy.

You can’t be filled with Jesus and run empty on joy.

3. The Power of Thanksgiving: Prayer and Praise

Prayer connects us to heaven, but thanksgiving keeps heaven flowing through us.

Gratitude is contagious—it shifts atmospheres, strengthens faith, and draws others closer to Jesus.
