Series: Marked By Love
Message Title: Love in Action
Date: January 25, 2026
Scripture: Mark 12:31; Matthew 5:16; Galatians 6:10

Jesus never intended for the love He’s poured into us to stay contained inside of us or inside the church.
We are called to love and serve the community around us.

If we truly love God, our love will not stop at the church doors.
We are not here by chance—God has placed us here specifically for this moment.

1. Jesus Always Moved Toward Need

  • One of the greatest paths to fulfillment is to find and meet the needs of the broken people around us.

  • Compassion is not just a feeling—it’s love that moves us to action.

  • To follow Jesus is to move toward pain, not away from it; toward need, not toward comfort.

2. Serving Opens Doors for the Gospel

  • Serving builds bridges that sermons alone cannot.

  • People will often see the Gospel before they ever hear it.

  • They will experience love before they believe the message you preach.

  • When we serve, we earn the right to be heard.

3. God Blesses Churches That Invest Locally

  • We cannot reach a city we are unwilling to serve.

  • When we pour out love, God pours love in.

  • Practical ways to live this out:

    • See your community as your mission field—not an accident, but an assignment.

    • Serve through church ministries and local partners.

    • Invest, don’t just invite—show up consistently, not just for events.

    • Teach the next generation to serve so this lifestyle of love continues.

Bottom line:
Love in action means we don’t just talk about loving our neighbor—we move toward need, serve our city, and let our light shine so that people see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.
