Title: Marked By Love
Scripture: Mark 12:28–31

Before we talk about doing for God, we have to talk about being with God and loving Him completely.
If we get love right, we will get everything else right.

1. Loving God Completely

Key Text: Matthew 15:8

  • With everything we are, we are called to love God—heart, soul, mind, and strength.
  • God doesn’t want to be one interest among many in your life; He wants to be your first love.
  • Truly loving God leads us to depend on His Word, not just our feelings or opinions.

2. Loving Others Unconditionally

Key Texts: 1 John 4:20; John 13:35

  • God’s love is unconditional, and ours should reflect that.
  • Unconditional love doesn’t mean we agree with sin or things that go against His Word.
It means we love people anyway.
  • Jesus said people would know we are His disciples by the way we love one another.

3. Connecting With One Another – A Church Family That Loves Well

Key Text: Acts 2:42

  • The early church didn’t just attend church; they lived life together.
  • They broke bread, prayed, and shared with one another.
  • We don’t just sit in the same room—we belong to each other as a spiritual family.

4. Loving Our Community – Serving Where God Has Planted Us

Key Text: Matthew 5:16

  • God has planted you here for a reason.
  • We are called to let our light shine through good works so people see and glorify God.
  • Loving our community means saying, “Lord, use me right where I am.

5. Reaching the Lost – Love That Moves Us Outward

Key Text: Luke 19:10

  • Jesus came to seek and to save the lost.
  • If we are marked by His love, we won’t stay inward-focused.
  • Real love moves us outward—toward those who are far from God, hurting, or hopeless.

Bottom line:

A life marked by love starts with loving God completely, flows into loving others unconditionally, shows up in church family, community, and mission, and ultimately reflects the heart of Jesus to a world that desperately needs Him.
