Message Title: Return To Me
Scripture: Isaiah 5:6–7 (CSB)
God’s heart is not, “Stay away until you get it together.”
His call is, “Return to Me.”
Isaiah 55:6–7 (CSB) is an invitation:

Seek the Lord while He may be found.

Call to Him while He is near.

Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts;
-
Let him return to the Lord, so He may have compassion on him.
This is not just about behavior—it’s about coming back to the heart of God.
1. Turn Your Heart… Not Just Your Habits
Scripture: Joel 2:12–13 (CSB)
“Turn to Me with all your heart… Tear your hearts, not just your clothes.”

God is not after surface-level change or religious performance.

He wants our hearts, not just our habits:

Not just new routines
-
Not just church attendance
-
Not just “trying harder”
-

True returning is internal first—a soft, honest, broken, sincere heart before God.

When the heart turns, the habits will follow.
2. Come Home… Don’t Hide in Shame
Scripture: Psalm 103:8–13 (CSB)

The Lord is:
-
Compassionate and gracious
-
Slow to anger
-
Abounding in faithful love
-

He does not deal with us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
-
As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His faithful love.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.
Shame says, “Hide.”
The Father says, “Come home.”
Returning to God is not crawling back to a Judge hoping for leniency;
it’s coming home to a Father who still loves you.
3. Returning Changes Direction… More Than a Feeling

Returning to God is more than emotion—it’s repentance.

It’s not just:

“I feel bad.”

“I got emotional in a service.”

It’s a change of direction:
-
Turning from our way
-
Turning toward His way
-
Letting Him realign our priorities, patterns, and path

Real repentance is movement, not just a moment.
Bottom line:
God’s call is simple and strong: “Return to Me.”
Turn your heart, not just your habits.
Come home, don’t hide in shame.
And let your “return” be more than a feeling—
let it be a new direction led by His love and grace.
