Series: The Gift
Message Title: “The Gift of Love – Our King Has Come”
Key Texts: John 3:16–17; Luke 2:1–20; John 1:14; Revelation 19:11–16 (NIV)

God loves us so much that He doesn’t wait on us to come to Him—He comes to us.
The miracle of Christmas is that Love put skin on in the person of Jesus.

1. Love Was Sent – Heaven’s Gift to Earth

(John 3:16–17)

  • God didn’t just say He loved us; He proved it by sending His Son.
  • Love is more than an emotion—it’s sacrificial. It costs something.
  • Jesus was sent for all people. No one is outside the reach of God’s love, no matter their past or present.

2. Love Was Shown – Heaven’s Glory in a Manger

(Luke 2:1–20; John 1:14)

  • The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us—God moved into our neighborhood.
  • God’s love isn’t limited by location, status, or reputation.
Bethlehem, a manger, unknown shepherds—God chooses ordinary places and people on purpose.
  • God qualifies the unqualified. He writes His story through those the world overlooks.

3. Love Still Shines – The King Will Return

(Revelation 19:11–16)

  • The same Jesus who came once in humility as a Lamb will return in glory as a Lion.
  • His second coming is love’s completion—every promise fulfilled, every wrong made right, every tear wiped away.
  • Christmas is not just about looking back at a baby in a manger; it’s a celebration that the King is coming back.

Bottom line:
Love was sent in Jesus,
love was shown at the manger,
and love will be completed when our King returns.
Christmas is God’s loud, clear message: “I came for you—and I’m coming again.”
