In Exodus 33:12–17, Moses intercedes for Israel after their rebellion with the golden calf. Though God promised to send Israel into the land flowing with milk and honey, He warned His presence would not go with them. While many would have taken the blessing without the burden, Moses knew the promise was worthless without God’s presence.

This message emphasizes three truths:

  1. The Presence of God is greater than the Promises of God (Exodus 33:15; Psalm 16:11). We often seek God’s hand more than His face, but peace is only found in Him.

  2. The Presence of God Distinguishes His People (Exodus 33:16; Acts 4:13). What sets believers apart is not buildings, programs, or rituals, but being marked by His Spirit.

  3. The Presence of God Brings True Peace (Exodus 33:14; Philippians 4:6–7; Isaiah 26:3). Peace does not come from knowing the plan but from walking with the One who goes with us.

The sermon closes with a challenge: like Moses, we must refuse to move without God’s presence, hunger for Him above all else, and welcome a fresh filling of His Spirit. Because truly, there is no peace without His Presence.
